Ana Claudia Sima is a PhD student in natural language interfaces to databases, in a joint program between the ZHAW Zurich University of Applied Sciences, the University of Lausanne and the SIB Swiss Institute of Bioinformatics. She is the main developer of Bio-SODA, a platform for natural language search over bioinformatics databases. She has also contributed to the design of the BioQuery search interface, publicly available at http://biosoda.expasy.org/.

Ana holds a Master in Computer Science from EPFL, specialized in Software Systems.
